Pro Tools Level 1 is an introduction to the Pro Tools digital audio workstation software. It covers the basics of creating a new session, including setting up initial preferences and creating tracks. The class also covers importing and recording audio, as well as an overview of editing tools and the PT grid. Students will have the opportunity to practice using the software and explore its various features through hands-on exercises. By the end of the class, students will have a foundational understanding of Pro Tools and be able to start using it for their own audio projects.
Required Skills: Ability to navigate and open programs in the Mac OS X operating system. Basic understanding of physics of sound and digital audio theory, including sample rate and bit depth.
Recommended Prerequisite: Fundamentals of Sound for Audio Engineering

The Orlando Public Library is the headquarters and resource center for the Orange County Library System. The Library has been located at this site since its beginnings as the Albertson Public Library in 1923. Public Reference Departments in the Orlando Public Library include Children's, Library Central, and Learning Central. The Children's Library offers spacious areas, special programs, computers and story rooms for our youngest readers and readers to be. The Technology and Education Center is located on the second floor and includes the Dorothy Lumley Melrose Center for Technology, Innovation and Creativity. The Friends of the Library Third Floor Bookstore is open daily and recycles withdrawn and donated books to the community.
