You don’t need a white coat and a fancy lab to be a scientist! Join us to learn about how your heart works and create your very own model in a scientific experiment.

Families will learn how the heart works and enjoy a STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, mathematics) related activity together. Attendees will follow step by step instructions to conduct and observe an experiment. Recommended for families with children 6 and over.

About the branch

LYNX Bus Link 37 Pine Hills / Florida Mall

Hiawassee Branch began as a bookmobile station in 1962 and was first known as the Pine Hills Library. In later moves the branch became the West Colonial branch and in March 2000, Hiawassee. In early 2010, the Hiawassee Branch moved to a new home near the corner of Hiawassee Road and West Colonial Drive in the Highland Lakes shopping plaza.
